I am a lucky girl… I have a hero for a husband AND he’s a hotty. But not only that, when I told him I wanted to take some shots of him in his uniform, he suited up, offered to bring home all his gear from his work locker, and even helped me set up the studio. What a man!
I have always been apprehensive about the military. I appreciate SO much those willing to serve and all the sacrifices they make on a daily basis, but when Zach told me he wanted to join, I didn’t think I was strong enough. I curled up in a ball on my bed and cried until I realized I couldn’t keep him from doing what he loved. Nearly 2 years into it, there are still days when I think I am not strong enough. But this guy right here… he’s strong. He gets up. He serves. And there have been many days in the last two years when not only has he stepped up as a soldier when someone has fallen behind, but he has stepped up as a husband when I have fallen, too.
I love you darlin’. Thank you for all you do, and thank you to ALL who serve in our nation’s military.
